What You’ll Need
- bright crepe paper in bright fiesta colors
- mini paper bags
- ribbon
- tissue paper
- A hot glue gun
- Intimate coupons (ours are printable — see below)
- Any light-weight items to go with your coupons: a blindfold, massage oil, candles, lingerie, and the like
How to Make a Mini Pull Piñata
This little pull-open piñata could not be easier — the whole batch comes together in one craft session:
- Turn a mini paper bag so the opening faces down.
- Hot glue a loop of ribbon across what is now the top, for hanging.
- Tuck a love coupon and any light-weight intimate items inside.
- Hot glue a square of tissue paper over the opening to seal it shut.
- Glue a length of ribbon to the middle of that tissue paper — this is the pull string.
- Cut your crepe paper into fringe, then wrap it around the bag from the bottom up, securing each strip with hot glue.
- Hang it up — and have your spouse pull the bottom ribbon to start the fiesta!
Make one big piñata stuffed with lots of coupons, or a few minis — we made five so we could enjoy a bedroom fiesta each night leading up to Cinco de Mayo. (For a big smash-open piñata, use a larger bag and several layers of tissue on the bottom. Just skip the breakables inside!)
