Oh, weekend — we love you! Before a Saturday fills up with errands, chores, and carpools, sneak out early for a simple morning date with your sweetheart: breakfast and a bucket of balls at the driving range. It’s easy, inexpensive, and surprisingly romantic — and even if you both stink at golf, you’ll have a blast practicing together. Grab our free golf date printables (an invitation, treat tags, and a couples scramble score sheet) and you’re set.

Start With Breakfast
Breakfast is the best meal of the day, so start there. The morning of your date, pick a favorite — try a local diner or bakery you’ve been eyeing, or whip up something delicious at home if that’s easier on the budget. Either way, you’ll want the fuel for what’s next. Leave the printable invitation out the night before so your sweetheart knows something fun is coming.

Hit the Driving Range
Head to the course and grab a bucket of balls. A driving range is perfect for a date: it’s low-pressure, cheaper and quicker than a full round, and beginner-friendly. New to golf? No problem — take turns, cheer each other on, and help each other with your swing (an excuse for a little hands-on coaching never hurts). The printables came together beautifully thanks to Joanna of Cutify Creative.

Pack Some Cute Golf Treats
Bring along a few snacks for an on-the-green pick-me-up (or a cool-down treat after). We tucked treats into little tin pails with “His” and “Hers” tags, plus our printable golf treat tags — just download, cut apart, punch a hole, and attach. Add a sleeve of golf balls with the “cute dimples” tag for a fun finishing touch.

Play a Couples Scramble
Want a little friendly competition? Use our printable couples scramble score card. Here’s how it works: you both tee off, then play your next shot from wherever the better ball landed — pick up the other ball and drop it within a club’s length. Keep doing that until one of you sinks it, and score as a team for your best possible game. It takes the pressure off and keeps you working together. Prefer something more low-key? Just hit a bucket of balls — it’s cheaper, quicker, and perfect for beginners. You could even make it a mini golf date with a twist with the whole family.

Grab the Printables & Plan Your Golf Date
That’s everything you need for a swing-worthy morning together. Download the printables, pick your breakfast spot, and head for the range. Looking for more ideas like this? Browse our at-home date night ideas and add your favorites to a date night bucket list.
Golf Date FAQs
Keep it simple: start with a favorite breakfast, then head to the driving range for a shared bucket of balls. A range is low-pressure, affordable, and beginner-friendly, so it works whether you’re avid golfers or total newbies.
Yes! A driving range or mini golf is ideal for beginners — there’s no full 18-hole commitment, you can take turns and coach each other, and the focus is on having fun together rather than keeping a serious score.
In a scramble, both partners tee off, then both play the next shot from wherever the better ball landed, repeating until one of you holes it. You keep score as a team, which takes the pressure off and makes it a fun, cooperative game for a date.
Just breakfast (out or at home), a bucket of balls at your local driving range, and optionally our free printables — an invitation, treat tags, and a couples scramble score card — plus a few snacks for the green.

Hello – all printed out but what are the diamond and longer banner things for?
Hi there! Great question! The longer banners are labels that wrap around your buckets to customize them. The diamonds are flags, you fold them in half to get a pennant shape.
